Awake by 7am and on the road. We are heading to Nebraska via Iowa. We crossed the Mississippi River. We stop at the visitor’s center to see if they might have ice and actually talk to the information lady. She tells us about a place called Amana which is an old German settlement. Lots of history etc. but she sent us to the Ox Yoke Inn for lunch. Delicious! Jimmy had wiener schnitzel and spaetzle noodles and I had the hot roast beef sandwich. We had a great lunch and walked around the town to work off our lunch. With full tummies we head to Omaha, NE for the night. Need to get in so I can watch CSI. Just to be sure, there is no global warming. So why is it 50 in Omaha in January at sundown. Another nice campground. Lit by the full moon, for a great evening. We feast on grilled cheese and chicken and rice soup. We snuggle up and watch TV for the evening before dozing off for the night.
